Materials
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Chana Dal/Split Peas
- 1 tsp Urad Dal/Black Gram
- 1/4 tsp Fenugreek/Methi
- 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
- 8 - 10 Red Chilli
- 2 Finely chopped Onion
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 - 4 cloves Garlic
- 1 - 2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Tamarind Paste
Instructions
- To make Onion chutney, first Place a Pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of oil to it, and heat.
- Now add 1 tsp of split chickpeas, 1 tsp of black gram, 1/4 tsp of Fenugreek, 1 tbsp of coriander seeds.
- Now, roast everything well on low flame for 1 minute.
- After 1 minute, add 8 to 10 red chilli and roast well for 1 minute.
- After 1 minute, add two chopped onions, 1 tsp of salt, and saute everything well.
- After the onion turns transparent, add 3 to 4 garlic cloves, mix well and roast on low flame.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and mix well.
- Now add 1 tbsp of tamarind paste with 2 tbsp of water and mix well.
- Turn off the flame after the mix starts releasing the oil and let it cool.
- Now, take a grinding jar, add prepared chutney mix, and grind well.
- Now add 2 tbsp of water, grind it again, and make a fine paste.
- Now, to make tampering, place a pan on flame, add 2 tsp of oil, and heat it.
- Now add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp of Urad dal, two pinch of asafoetida, one red chilli, and some curry leaves.
- Now add Chutney paste to the pan, mix well and cook for 1 minute on low flame.
- Now turn off the flame, and your chutney is ready to serve.
- Now your Onion Chutney is ready, and you can enjoy it or store it.
