Tomato Dosa Recipe | How to make Tomato Dosa at Home | Thakkali Dosa Recipe
Materials
- Chopped Tomatoes – 3
- Dry Red chillies – 4
- Asafoetida – 1 Pinch
- Ginger paste – 1 tsp
- Rice Flour – 1/2 cup
- Semolina – 1/2 cup
- Wheat flour – 1/2 cup
- Water – 3 cups
- Finely chopped onion – 1
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Finely chopped coriander
- Oil as per required
Instructions
- To make tomato dosa, take a grinding jar and add 3-4 roughly chopped tomatoes into it.
- Now add four dry red chilies, one pinch asafoetida, 1 tsp of ginger paste, grind well and make a fine paste.
- Now transfer the paste to a bowl.
- Now add 1/2 cup of rice flour, 1/2 cup of semolina, 1/4 cup of wheat flour.
- Now, little by little, add water(2 Cups) and prepare a watery consistency batter
- Now cover the batter and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, check the batter and add one finely chopped onion, 1/2 tsp of cumin, 1 tsp of salt, 2 tbsp of finely chopped coriander, and mix everything well.
- Now add more water to adjust the consistency and make it like watery consistency.
- Now, place a Tawa on flame and grease it with oil and heat well.
- Now, with the help of a bowl, pour batter on the Tawa, spread well, and cook on low flame.
- After the upper layer turns dry, apply ghee/oil on it.
- After Dosa turns golden, transfer it to a plate and roast the next Dosa.
- Now your tomato dosa is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
