In this post, I will share an easy and step by step recipe to make amazing Vrat Special Sabudana Idli at your Home. I will also share an easy and instant Vrat special chutney recipe.
So without wasting any time, let’s start this recipe.

Sabudana Vrat Idli Recipe | How to make Sabudana Idli | Vrat Breakfast Recipe
Materials
- Sama Rice – 1 cup
- Sabudana – 1 cup
- Rock salt – 1 tsp
- Chopped coriander
- Eno fruit salt – 1 sachet
For Instant Coconut Chutney
- Fresh coconut -1/2 cup
- Roasted peanuts – 1 tbsp
- Chopped green chilli – 2
- Ginger -1 Inch
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Slit green chilli
Instructions
- To make Perfect Vrat special Sabudana Idli first, take a grinding jar and add 1 cup of Sama rice to it.
- Now grind and make a coarse powder and transfer it to a bowl.
- Now take 1 cup of Sabudana, wash well, and soak Sabudana into the water for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, add soaked Sabudana(remove the excess water if required) into the Sama rice powder bowl.
- Now add 1 cup of curd, 1 tsp of rock salt, and mix everything well.
- Now add water as required and prepare a thick batter.
- Now, let is rest for 10 minutes.
- Now, place a kadhai on flame, add water, close the lid, and boil.
- After 10 minutes, check the idli batter and chopped coriander and mix well.
- Now add one Eno fruit salt, some drops of water and gently mix well.
- Now, take Idli mould and grease it with oil.
- Now fill Idli batter in idli Mould.
- After the water starts boiling, place idli mould into Kadhai, close the lid and steam the idli for 8 minutes on medium-high flame and after 8 minutes, cook on low flame for 4 minutes.
- After 12 minutes, remove the lid and check the idli and let it cool.
- Now, de-mould the idli to a plate with the help of a spoon.
- Now your Vrat special Sabudana idli is completely ready, and you can enjoy them.
Instant Coconut Vrat Chutney
- To make Vrat special chutney, take a grinding jar and add 1/2 cup of coconut.
- Now add 1 tbsp of roasted peanuts, two chopped green chilli, 1-inch ginger, rock salt as per taste, 1/2 cup of water, grind well and make a fine paste.
- Now, place a tempering pan on flame and add 1 tsp of ghee and heat.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, curry leaves, two slits of green chilli.
- Now turn off the flame and add prepared tempering to the chutney.
- Now, your Vrat special chutney is completely ready, and you can enjoy it with your Sabudana idli.
