Materials

  • Raw Peanut – 1 cup
  • Jaggery – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 tbsp
  • Ghee
  • Baking Soda – 2 pinch

Instructions

  • To make the amazing peanut chikki, place a kadhai on the flame, add 1 cup of peanuts, and roast well.
  • After the peanuts start cracking, turn off the flame and transfer the peanuts into a plate.
  • After the peanuts turn a little cool, peel the skin with the help of a cloth.
  • Now break the peanuts into two pieces with the help of a bowl.
  • Now place a kadhai on the flame, add crushed jaggery, 1 tbsp of water, and melt the jaggery.
  • Now add 1 tbsp of ghee and mix well.
  • After the jaggery melts and bubbles appear, take a small portion of melted jaggery and add it to water.
  • After a few seconds, check the jaggery drop. If it turns hard, this means the jaggery syrup is completely ready to make the Peanut Chikki.
  • Now add 2 pinches of baking soda and mix well.
  • Now turn off the flame, add peanuts, and mix well.
  • Now transfer the chikki mix into greased butter paper and spread well.
  • Now place another butter paper on top of the chikki and roll the chikki with the help of a roller pin.
  • Now cut the chikki into small pieces and let it cool for some time.
  • Now your perfect peanut chikki is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
