Moong Dal Tikki Recipe | How to make Moong Dal Tikki at Home | Green Gram Patty Recipe
Materials
- Moong Dal – 1 cup
- Oil for Shallow Fry
- Boiled Potato – 1
- Chopped onion – 1
- Finely chopped capsicum
- Finely chopped ginger – 1 inch
- Green chilli – 2
- Corn flour – 4 tbsp
- Finely chopped coriander
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
Instructions
- To make the amazing Street style Moong Dal Tikki, take 1 cup of Moong Dal and soak it into the water for 4-5 hours.
- Now place a pan on flame, add moong dal into it, and boil it for 5-6 minutes.
- After 5-6 minutes, turn off the flame, drain the water completely and transfer the moong dal to a bowl.
- Now, take a grinding jar, add boiled moong dal, one boiled potato, and grind well.
- Now transfer the Moong dal & potato mix into a bowl.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of chaat masala, salt as per taste, one pinch asafoetida, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder.
- Now add 1 inch of finely chopped ginger, two finely chopped green chilli, one finely chopped onion, finely chopped capsicum, finely chopped coriander.
- Now add 3 tbsp of cornflour, mix everything well.
- Now, place a pan on flame, add oil for shallow fry, and heat well.
- Now, one by one, take a small portion of dough and prepare round tikkies with it.
- Now add prepared Tikkies into pan and roast well until golden & crisp.
- After your Tikkies, turns turn golden & crispy, transfer them to a plate and roast the next batch.
- Now your perfect Moong Dal Tikkies are ready, and you can enjoy them.
