Methi Ki Mathri Recipe | How to make Methi Mathri at Home | Fenugreek Snack Recipe
Materials
- Fenugreek – 1 bunch
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Wheat Flour – 1 cup
- Semolina/Rava/Sooji – 1/2 cup
- Salt as per taste
- Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
- Carom Seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Oil for Fry
Instructions
- To make the amazing Methi Mathri, take 1 bunch of fenugreek leaves, wash well, remove the stems, and finely chop it.
- Now place a pan on the flame, add 1 tbsp of ghee, and heat well.
- After the ghee melts, add chopped fenugreek leaves and cook on low flame.
- After the Methi turns soft, turn off the flame and keep it aside.
- Now take a wide plate, add 1 cup of wheat flour, 1.5 cups of semolina, salt as per taste, 1/2 tsp of red chili powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of carom seeds, 1 tsp of cumin powder, and 1/2 tsp of pepper powder, and mix everything well.
- Now add 2 tbsp of ghee and mix well.
- Now add prepared Methi and mix well.
- Now little by little, add water and prepare a hard dough.
- Now cover the dough and let it set for 5 minutes.
- Now, one by one, prepare small-sized pooris with the dough and pick them with the help of a knife or fork.
- Now add prepared Mathri into medium-hot oil and fry well until golden and crispy.
- After the Mathri turns crispy, transfer the Mathri to a plate and fry the next batch.
- Now your perfect Methi Mathri is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
