Matar Paneer Recipe | How to make Matar Paneer at Home | Matar Paneer Ki Sabji
Materials
- Paneer – 250 grams
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Clarified Butter/Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Chopped Onion – 3
- Garlic (Lahsun) – 10 to 12
- Splitted Green chilli – 3
- Chopped Tomato – 3
- Salt as per Taste Oil – 2 tbsp
- Clarified Butter/Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Cumin Seed/Jeera – 1 tsp
- Bay Leaf/Tej Patta
- Cloves/Laung – 2
- Black Peppercorns – 6
- Cinnamon Stick/Dalchini – 1
- Green Choti Elaichi – 2
- Black Badi Elaichi
- Kashmiri Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
- Red Chili (Lal Mirch) – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1.5 tbsp
- Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Green Peas – 1.5 cup
- Water – 3/4 cup
- Kasoori Methi – 1 tbsp
- Garam Masala – 1/4 tsp
Instructions
- To make the Perfect Restaurant Style Matar Paneer, first place a pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of oil, 1 tbsp of Ghee and heat well.
- After ghee melts, add 25 grams of Paneer Cubes and fry well until they turn a little golden.
- After Your Paneer turns Golden, turn off the flame and transfer the Paneer to a plate.
- Now, take a bowl, add warm water and fried Paneer, and leave it for some time.
- Now, add three chopped onions into the same pan(with remaining oil) and saute well on low flame.
- After onion turns a little golden, add 1.5-inch ginger, 10-12 garlic cloves, three chopped green chilli and roast well for 1 minute.
- After 1 minute, add three roughly chopped red tomatoes, salt as per taste, mix well.
- Now, close the lid and cook until tomatoes turn soft on medium flame.
- After 3-4 minutes, remove the lid, turn off the flame and let it cool.
- After the mix turns cool, add gravy mix & 3-4 tbsp of water into a grinding jar, grind well and make a fine paste.
- Now place a Kadhai on flame, add 2 tbsp of oil, 1 tbsp of Ghee and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, bay leaf, two cloves, six peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, two green cardamoms, one black cardamom, and roast.
- After some seconds, add 1 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder, 1.5 tbsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, mix well and roast for some seconds.
- After some seconds, add prepared gravy mixture, 1/4 cup of water and mix everything well.
- Now, close the lid and cook for 4 minutes on low flame.
- After 4 minutes, remove the lid, add 1.5 cups of boiled green peas, and mix well.
- Now add fried Paneer and mix well.
- Now add 3/4 cup of water (as required), salt as per taste, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes with a closed lid.
- After 4 minutes, remove the lid and 2 tbsp of Milk Malai, 1 tbsp of crushed Kasuri methi, 1/4 tsp of garam masala and mix well.
- Now turn off the flame and garnish your Matar paneer with chopped ginger, green chilli, finely chopped green chilli.
- Now your Perfect Restaurant style Matar Paneer is ready, and you can enjoy it.

Matar Paneer Recipe – Step By Step

17 – Now add fried Paneer and mix well.
18 – Now add 3/4 cup of water (as required), salt as per taste, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes with a closed lid.
19 – After 4 minutes, remove the lid and 2 tbsp of Milk Malai, 1 tbsp of crushed Kasuri methi, 1/4 tsp of garam masala and mix well.
20 – Now turn off the flame and garnish your Matar paneer with chopped ginger, green chilli, finely chopped green chilli.
21 – Now your Perfect Restaurant style Matar Paneer is ready, and you can enjoy it.
