Materials
- Colocasia/ Arbi – 500 gm
- Mustard Oil
- Coriander – 1 tsp
- Clove – 2 pcs
- Black Pepper – 2 to 3 pcs
- Asafoetida – 2 pinch
- Mustard Seed – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Ajwain- 1 tsp
- Chopped Green Chilli – 4 pcs
- Grated Ginger – 1 inch
- Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Amchoor Powder – 1 tsp
- Kasuri Methi – 1 tsp
- Gram Flour – 1 tsp
- Red Chilli – 2 pcs
- Salt as per Taste
- Ghee – 1 tsp
Instructions
- To make the amazing Masala Arbi, take 500 grams of Arbi and wash well.
- Now place a cooker on flame, add washed Arbi, and water (put enough water in the cooker so that the Arbi gets submerged in it).
- Now close the lid, cook until a whistle, and after a whistle, cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
- Now turn off the flame and remove the lid.
- After the Arbi cools, peel them and cut them like in the following image.
- Now place a pan on the flame, add 1 teaspoon of mustard oil, and heat well.
- Now take a crusher, add 1 tsp of coriander, 2 cloves, and 2-3 peppercorns, and crush well.
- After the hot oil, add crushed masala, 2 pinches of asafoetida, 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, and 1 tsp of ajwain.
- Now add 4 pieces of chopped green chilies and 1 inch of grated ginger; roast a little.
- Now take a small bowl, add 2 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of red chili powder, 1 tsp of Kashmiri red chili powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of dry mango powder, and 1 tsp of kasuri methi, and mix everything well.
- Now add 1 teaspoon of gram flour and mix well.
- After roasting everything well, add 2 dry red chillies, prepared masala, and cook everything for 30–40 seconds.
- After 30–40 seconds, add the cooked Arbi and mix everything well.
- Now close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
- After two minutes, remove the lid, add salt as per taste, 1 teaspoon of ghee, mix well, and cook for another two minutes.
- Now turn off the flame and garnish it with chopped coriander.
- Now your perfect Masala Arbi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
