Materials
- Foxnuts – 3 cup / 80 Gram
- Sesame seeds – 1/4 cup (4 to 5 tbsp)
- Peanut (Dry Roast) -1/2 cup
- Jaggery – 260 grams (crushed)
- Cardamom Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Dry Ginger Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Baking Soda – 2 pinch
Instructions
- To make the amazing Makhana Til Gud Laddu, place a pan on flame, add Makhana, and roast well on medium flame for 5 minutes.
- After the Makhana turns crispy, turn off the flame and transfer the Makhana to a wide plate.
- Next step – add 1/4 cup of sesame seeds into the pan, and saute well on low flame.
- After the sesame seeds turn golden, turn off the flame and transfer it to a plate.
- Next step – add 1/2 cup of roasted peanuts to a crusher and make a coarse powder.
- Next step – place a Kadhai on flame, add 260 grams of crushed jaggery, 2 tbsp, and melt well.
- After the jaggery melts, add 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder, 1/2 tsp of dry ginger powder, and 1/4 tsp of black pepper powder and mix well.
- To check that jaggery syrup cooked perfectly, add melted jaggery into the water, If jaggery turns hard like glass; this means jaggery syrup cooked perfectly.
- After the jaggery syrup cooked perfectly, add 1 tsp of ghee, two pinches of baking soda and mix well.
- After mixing well, turn off the flame, add roasted Makhana and mix well.
- Next step – add roasted sesame seeds, peanuts powder and mix well.
- Next step – transfer all makhana balls mix to a greased plate and let it little cool.
- After the makhana balls turn a little cool, separate all balls and let them dry.
