Materials
- Milk – 1 ltr
- Water – 1 cup
- Custard Powder – 2 tbsp
- Sugar – 4 to 5 tbsp
- Almonds – 1/4 cup
- Poppy Seed – 2 tbsp
- Pistachio – 2 to 3 tbsp
- Cardamom – 3 to 4
- Water
- Khus Syrup – 4 tbsp
- Almonds
- Pistachio
- Sabja Seed
Instructions
- To make the perfect Khus Doodh Sharbat, take a pan, place a pan on flame, add 1 liter of milk and one cup of water, and boil (keep stirring).
- After boiling the milk, separate the one ladle-full of milk in a small bowl.
- Now add 2 tablespoons of custard powder (alternatively, use corn flour or arrowroot powder) and mix well.
- Now, little by little, add the custard mix to the boiling milk and mix well.
- After the milk turns creamy, add 4-5 tablespoons of sugar and cook on low heat.
- Now take soaked almonds, 1/4 cup of soaked watermelon seeds, 2 tbsp of poppy seeds, and 2-3 tbsp of soaked pistachios.
- Now add soaked almonds, watermelon seeds, poppy seeds, pistachios, 4 cardamoms, a little water, and make a fine paste.
- If you want, you can store the prepared paste in the freezer for 25 days.
- After the milk turns thick, turn off the flame and let it cool.
- After the milk cools, keep it in the fridge for two hours.
- After two hours, take out the milk from the fridge, add two tablespoons of prepared paste, and mix well.
- Now add 4 tablespoons of green Khus syrup, chopped almonds, and chopped pistachios and mix well.
- Now serve the Khus Doodh Sharbat with soaked sabja seeds.
