Materials
- Curd – 1 cup
- Gram flour – 2 tbsp
- Mustard oil – 2 tbsp
- Methi Dana(fenugreek seeds)
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Finely chopped green chilli – 1
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Gasam masala – 1/4 tsp
- Boondi – 1/2 cup
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Dry red chilli – 1
Instructions
- To make Perfect Kadhi, first take 1 bowl of curd, add water to it, and whisk well.
- Now add 2 tbsp of gram flour and whisk well.
- Now place a pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of mustard oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1/4 tsp of Methi dana(fenugreek seeds), 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 1 finely chopped green chilli, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, some curry leaves, 1 tsp of turmeric powder and mix well.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder, whisked curd, and mix well on low, medium flame.
- Now, turn the flame to high until Kadhi starts boiling and stir continuously.
- After your Kadhi starts boiling, add 1 tsp of coriander powder, salt as per taste, 1/4 tsp of Garam Masala, and mix everything well.
- Now add 1/2 cup of Boondi(alternatively, you can use gram flour Pakodi) and mix well.
- Now add 1/2 cup of water and let it boil.
- After your Kadhi starts boiling, turn off the flame.
- To prepare the tempering, place a tempering pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, turn off the flame, add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 dry red chilli.
- Now pour prepared tempering on your Kadhi.
- Now your Boondi Kadhi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
