How to Cook Rice Properly – Step By Step [3 Different Ways]
Materials
For First Method
- Rice – 1 cup
- Water – 6 cups
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Few drops of Oil
- Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
For Second Method
- Rice – 1 cup
- Water – 2 cups
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Few drops of oil
For Third Method
- Rice – 1 cup
- Water – 1.5 cup
- Few drops of oil
- Salt – 1 tsp
Instructions
Draining Method
- To cook perfect Rice Properly with the draining method, first take a bowl and add 1 cup of Rice.
- Now wash your Rice with water 3-4 times until the washing water turns clear.
- Now, soak your rice in water for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Now, place a pan on flame, add 6 cups of water and boil on medium to high flame.
- After your water starts boiling, add 1 tsp of salt and let it boil.
- After your water is boiling well, add some drops of oil, soaked Rice (drain the excess water before adding it.
- Now cook your Rice and do not stir.
- After your Rice starts boiling, add 1 tsp of lemon juice and boil the Rice for 6-7 minutes.
- After 6-7 minutes, take 1 cooked Rice and press with your finger; if Rice turns flat & do not break, this means your Rice is cooked perfectly.
- Now turn off the flame, drain the excess water and let it cool.
- Now your Perfect Rice is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
Absorption Method
- To cook your Rice with the absorption method, take a pan to add 1 cup of soaked Rice to it.
- Now add 2 cups of water, 1 tsp of salt, few drops of oil.
- Now, place the pan on flame, close the lid and cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes.
- After 8-10 minutes, check your Rice, turn off the flame and leave it for 2 minutes with a closed lid.
- After 2 minutes, remove the lid, and your Perfect Rice is ready.
How to Cook Rice in Cooker
- To Cook Rice in Cooker, first, take one glass of Rice(Wash & soak it into the water for 15 minutes), 1.5 Glasses of Water.
- Now place a cooker n flame and add 1.5 glasses of water, soaked Rice, salt, some drops of oil, and mix well.
- Now, close the lid and cook your Rice high flame until one whistle.
- After a Whistle, turns off the flame and let the pressure release completely.
- After the pressure releases completely, check your Rice.
- Now your Perfect Rice is ready.
