Materials
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Poppy seeds – 2 tbsp
- Chopped cashew – 2 tbsp
- Chopped Pistachio – 2 tbsp
- Wheat flour – 2 cups
- Desiccated coconut – 1/2 cup
- Ghee – 5 tbsp
- Crushed jaggery – 1.5 cups
- Water -2 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Instructions
- To make the perfect and most tasty Gud atta Modak, place a Kadhai on flame, add 1 tbsp of ghee, and heat well.
- After the ghee melts, add 2 tbsp of poppy seeds, 2 tbsp of chopped cashew, 2 tbsp of chopped almonds, and 2 tbsp of chopped pistachio, and roast well.
- After roasting for some time, transfer everything to a plate.
- Now add 2 cups of wheat flour into the Kadhai, roast on low flame, and stir continuously.
- After the flour turns light golden, add 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut and mix well.
- After 2-3 minutes, add 5 tbsp of ghee and mix well.
- After the mix starts releasing the ghee, turn off the flame and transfer the mix to a plate.
- Now place a kadhai on flame, add 1.5 cups of crushed jaggery, 1 tsp of ghee, and 2-3 tbsp of water, and melt the jaggery.
- After the jaggery melts and starts boiling, turn off the flame, add the prepared flour mixture, and mix well.
- Now add roasted dry fruits, and one teaspoon of cardamom powder, and mix well.
- Now take Modak molds and one by one prepare the Modak with the prepared mix.
- Now your perfect Gud Atta Modak is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
