Materials
- Ladies Finger – 250 gm
- Curd – 1/2 Cup
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Kasoori Methi – 1/2 tsp
- Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Chopped Garlic – 1 tbsp
- Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Instructions
- To make the perfect Restaurant Style Dahi Bhindi Masala, take 25 grams of Okra (Bhindi).
- Now wash and cut both ends of all Bhindi (Okra).
- Now cut from mid like the following image and if your Bhindi is long, then cut them into 2 pieces.
- Now take 1/2 cup of fresh curd, add 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of Kasuri methi.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of fennel powder and mix everything well.
- Now place a kadhai on gas, add 2 tbsp of oil and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add Bhindi into hot oil and fry well for 4 minutes on medium to high flame.
- After some time, add a little salt and mix well.
- After 4 minutes, transfer the Bhindi to a plate.
- Now add 1 tbsp of oil into the pan with the remaining oil and heat.
- Now add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 2 pinches of asafoetida, 1 tbsp of finely chopped garlic and roast until golden.
- After garlic turns golden, add 2 finely chopped onions and roast on high flame until golden.
- After the onion turns golden, add 3 slits of green chilli and roast well on medium flame.
- Now add 1 tsp of ginger paste, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, and 1/2 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder and mix everything well.
- Now turn the flame to low, add 4 tbsp of water and mix well.
- After the masala releases the oil, add 2 finely chopped tomatoes, and 1 pinch of salt, and mix well.
- Now, close the lid and cook until the tomatoes turn mushy.
- After the tomatoes turn mushy, turn off the flame and let it cool.
- After the masala mix turns cool, add the curd mixture into the masala mixture, mix well and cook on medium flame(With a closed lid until the mix releases the oil).
- After the curd releases the oil, add fried Bhindi and mix everything well.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of garam masala, water as required and mix well.
- Now add chopped coriander, mix well, close the lid and cook for 1-2 minutes with a closed lid.
- After 2 minutes, turn off the flame, and your Dahi Bhindi Masala is ready to serve.

Dahi Bhindi Masala Recipe – Step By Step
