Materials
- Wheat Flour – 2 cup
- Semolina/Sooji- 1/4 cup
- Cardamom Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Dry Coconut – 1/4 cup
- Fennel Seeds – 1 tsp
- Ghee – 4 tbsp
- Jaggery – 3/4 cup
- Hot Water – 1/2 cup
- Sugar – 4 tbsp
- Oil for Fry
Instructions
- To make the amazing Bihari Thekua, take a wide plate and add 2 cups of wheat flour and 1/4 cup of fine Sooji.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder, 1/4 cup of chopped dry coconut, and 1 tsp of crushed fennel seeds, and mix everything well.
- Now add 4 tablespoons of ghee and mix well.
- Now add 3/4 cup of jaggery water and mix well.
- Now add 4 tablespoons of sugar, knead well, and prepare a hard dough.
- Now place the Kadhai on flame, add oil, and heat well.
- Now take a small portion of dough and give it a leaf shape.
- Now give a leaf design with the help of a toothpick or fork.
- Now prepare the Thekua with the remaining dough.
- After the oil is hot, add the prepared Thekua and fry well until golden and crispy.
- After the oil turns golden and crispy, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
- Now your perfect Bihari Thekua is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
