Amla ka Achar Recipe | How to make Gooseberry Pickle at Home | Amla Pickle Recipe
Materials
- Gooseberry – 1/2 Kg
- Fenugreek seeds – 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seeds – 2 tbsp
- Tamarind – 60 grams
- Mustard oil – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Mustard oil – 200 Ml
- Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
- Dry red chillies – 8
- Red chilli powder – 6 tbsp
- Salt – 4-5 tbsp
- Garlic Cloves – 20-25
Instructions
- o make Perfect Amla Ka Achar, first 1/2 kg of Gooseberry, wash & dry them completely.
- Now, cut the Gooseberry on the lines and separate the slices (you can also cut them randomly).
- Now place a pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of fenugreek seeds, 2 tbsp of mustard seeds, and dry roast on low flame.
- After some time, transfer fenugreek seeds & mustard seeds to a plate and let them cool.
- Now, take a grinding jar and add fenugreek seeds & mustard seeds to it and make a fine powder.
- Now, take 60 grams of tamarind and soak it in 100 ml hot water.
- After tamarind turns soft, mash well with your hands and remove the seeds.
- Now, place a pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of mustard oil and heat well.
- Now, first sieve the tamarind pulp and add the pulp into the pan and cook well on low flame.
- After some time, add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder and cook until the mix leaves the pan.
- After the mix starts leaving the pan, turn off the flame and let it cool.
- Now place a kadhai on flame, add 200 ml of Mustard oil and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add gooseberry pieces into oil and roast well on medium flame.
- After gooseberry pieces turn a little golden, turn off the flame and transfer them to the bowl.1
- On the off flame, add 1/2 tsp of asafoetida, 8 dry red chilies, and fry well for 1 minute.
- After one minute, let it cool.
- Now, take the Fried Amla Bowl and add 6 tbsp of red chillies powder.
- Now add 4-5 tbsp of salt, fenugreek-mustard seeds powder, 20-25 garlic cloves.
- Now add prepared tamarind pulp and mix well.
- Now add warm chilli oil, and mix well.
- Now let the achar rest for 2-3 days.
- Now your Amla Ka Achar is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
