Aloo Samosa Recipe | How to make Samosa at Home | Halwai Style Samosa Recipe
Materials
- All-purpose flour – 2 cups
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Carom Seed – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1/4 cup
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Cumin Seed – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander Seed
- Chopped Green Chili – 3 to 4
- Grated Ginger – 1 inch
- Green Peas – 1/2 cup
- Water
- Boiled Potato – 5
- Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Aamchoor Powder – 1 tsp
- Kasoori Methi – 1 tsp
- Chopped Coriander
- Oil
- Curd
- Green Chutney
- Mithi Chutney
- Black Salt
- Red Chili Powder
- Fried Green Chillies – 2
Instructions
- To make the perfect Aloo Samosa, take a wide plate, add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of carom seeds, and mix well.
- Next step – add 1/4 cup of oil in batches, and mix well.
- Next step – add water in batches and prepare a semi-soft dough.
- Next step – apply the oil on the dough, cover it, and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, and 1 tsp of coriander seeds, and saute a little.
- Next step – add 3-4 chopped green chilli and 1 inch of grated ginger, and roast a little.
- Next step – add 1/2 cup of green peas, sprinkle some water, and roast for some time.
- Next step – add five crushed boiled potatoes and mix well.
- Next step – add 2 tsp of coriander powder, 1 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, and 1/2 tsp of garam masala, and mix everything well.
- After roasting the stuffing, add salt per taste, 1 tsp of dry mango powder, and 1 tsp of Kasuri methi, and mix well.
- Next step – add chopped coriander, mix well, and turn off the flame.
- Next step – check the dough, apply ghee, and knead well again.
- Next step – take a small portion of dough, prepare a ball, and roll it into an oval shape.
- Next step – cut the rolled dough horizontally.
- Next step – take one portion of rolled dough and apply water on the corner.
- Next step – fold & join both ends and make a cone.
- Next step – fill the prepared potato stuffing, and apply water on the edges.
- Next step – make a pleat on the back side of the cone and close and seal firmly.
- Next step - prepare the samosa with the remaining dough and stuffing.
- Add prepared samosa into medium hot oil and fry well until golden & crispy.
- After the samosa turns golden & crispy, turn off the flame and transfer it to a plate.
- Now your perfect Aloo Samosa is completely ready, and you can enjoy them.
