Masala Bati Recipe | How to make Masala Bati at Home | Stuffed Bati Recipe
Materials
- Wheat flour – 2 cups
- Semolina – 4 tbsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Carom Seed – 1 tsp
- Baking Soda – 1/4 tsp
- Clarified Butter – 4 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Coriander Seeds – 1 tsp
- Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 2 pinch
- Black Salt – 1 tsp
- Chopped Green Chili – 3 to 4
- Grated Ginger – 1 tbsp
- Kashmiri Red Chili Powder – 2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Boiled Potato – 3
- Salt as per Taste
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1 tsp
- Aamchoor Powder – 1 tsp
- Boiled Green Peas – 1/4 cup
- Chopped Coriander
- Clarified Butter – 1 tsp
Instructions
- To make the perfect Masala Bati, take a wide plate, add 2 cups of wheat flour, 4 tbsp of fine semolina, and mix well.
- Next step – add salt per taste, 1 tsp of carom seeds, 1/4 tsp of baking soda, and mix everything well.
- Next step – add 4 tbsp of ghee and mix well (add more ghee if required).
- Next step – add warm water as required and prepare a medium hard dough.
- Next step – cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of coarse coriander seeds, 1 tsp of fennel seeds, two pinches of asafoetida, 1 tsp of black salt, 3 chopped green chilies, 1 tbsp of grated ginger, and roast a little.
- Next step – add 2 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and mix well.
- Next step – add thee boiled & mashed potatoes, salt per taste, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of garam masala one tsp of dry mango powder, and mix everything well.
- Next step – add 1/4 cup of cooked green peas, mix well, and roast.
- Next step – add chopped coriander, mix well, and turn off the flame.
- After the stuffing turns cool, prepare the small balls with the stuffing.
- Next step – check the dough, and knead one more time,
- Next step – take a small portion of dough and make it like a bowl.
- Next step – place the stuffing ball, close it from all sides, prepare a round ball and give an impression on it.
- Next step – prepare the masala Bati with remaining dough and stuffing.
- Next step – place a cooker on flame, and heat a little.
- Next step – add 1 tsp of ghee and place the prepared Bati into the cooker.
- Next step – close the cooker lid (remove the whistle & gasket before closing the lid) and roast on low flame for 3-4 minutes
- After 3-4 minutes, flip all Bati, apply the ghee, and roast on all sides until golden.
- 21 – After the Bati turns golden, transfer them to a plate and roast the next batch.
- Second way to prepare your Masala Bati, place an appe pan on flame, grees with oil, and place the prepared Bati.
- Next step – close the lid and roast on low flame for 3-4 minutes.
- After 3-4 minutes, flip all Bati, apply the ghee, and roast on all sides until golden.
- After the Bati turns golden, turn off the flame and transfer the Bati to a plate.
