- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Kewra Essence
- Semolina – 1/2 cup
- Milk – 2 cup
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Kewra Essence
- Whipped Cream – 1/2 cup
- Pistachio
- Rose Petals
Instructions
- To make the amazing Layali Lubnan dessert, place a pan on flame, add 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/2 cup of water, and melt on medium flame.
- After the sugar syrup turns sticky, turn off the flame and let it cool.
- Next step – add 2-3 drops of kewda essence into the sugar syrup and mix well.
- Next step – place a pan on low flame, add 1/2 cup of semolina, and dry roast for 1-1.5 minutes.
- After 1-1.5 minutes, turn off the flame and keep it aside.
- Next step – place a kadhai on flame, add 2 cups of milk, & 1/2 cup of sugar, and heat well.
- After the milk is hot, add roasted semolina in batches and mix well.
- After the mix turns medium thick, turn off the flame, add 2-4 drops of kewda essence, and mix well.
- Next step – transfer the mixture into a greased tray and spread well.
- Next step – keep the tray in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Next step – take 1/2 cup of whisked cream and whip it well.
- After 1 hour, take out the tray from the fridge.
- Next step – add a thick layer of whip cream on the pudding.
- Next step – garnish it with chopped dry fruits and rose petals.
