Methi Paratha Recipe | How to make Methi Paratha at Home | Fenugreek Paratha Recipe
Materials
- Fenugreek – 1 Bunch
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Cumin Seed – 1/2 tsp
- Wheat flour – 2 cups
- Gram flour – 4 tbsp
- Carom Seed – 1/2 tsp
- Ginger & Green chilli coarse paste – 1 tsp
- Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
- Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Milk cream – 2 tbsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Chopped Capsicum
- Chopped Carrot
- Chopped onion
- Boiled Sweet Corn
- Pizza Seasoning – 1 tsp
- Red Chilli Flakes
- Salt as per taste
- Mozzarella Cheese – 3 tsp
Instructions
- To make the Perfect Methi Paratha, take one bunch of Methi, and remove the stem.
- Next step – take water in a bowl, add 1 tsp of salt and wash the Methi with the water.
- Next step – chop the Methi.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add 1 tsp of ghee, and heat well.
- Next step – add 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds and let it crankle.
- After some seconds, add chopped Methi and cook well for 2 minutes.
- After 2 minutes, turn off the flame, and let Methi a little cool.
- Next step – take a wide plate, add 2 cups of wheat flour, 4 tbsp of gram flour, 1/2 tsp of carom seeds, 1 tsp of ginger green chilli paste, 1 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of coriander powder and mix well.
- Next step – add 2 tbsp of milk cream and mix well.
- Next step – add salt as per taste, cooked Methi, and mix well.
- Next step – add water as required and prepare a semi-soft dough.
- Next step – cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, check the dough and knead well.
- Next step – take a small portion of dough, coat it with flour and prepare a round ball.
- Next step – roll the Paratha and apply ghee on top of it.
- Next step – fold the Paratha into half, apply the ghee and fold it into a triangle like the following image.
- Next step – roll the Paratha into a triangle shape.
- Next step – place a Tawa on flame and heat well.
- After the Tawa is medium hot, place the prepared Paratha on the Tawa and roast well.
- After the Paratha turns golden, flip the Paratha and apply ghee on top of it.
- Next step – flip the Paratha, apply the ghee on the second side, and roast well until golden & crispy.
- After the Methi Paratha turns golden & crispy, transfer it to a plate and roast the next Paratha.
Stuffed Methi Paratha Recipe.
- To make the Stuffed Methi Paratha, take a bowl, and add chopped green capsicum, chopped carrot, chopped onion, boiled sweet corn, 1 tsp of pizza seasoning, red chilli flakes, and salt as per taste.
- Next step – add 2-3 tbsp mozzarella cheese and mix everything well.
- Next step – take a small portion of dough and roll it into medium thickness.
- Next step – place the prepared stuffing on the Paratha in a triangle shape.
- Next step – flip the Paratha like the following image and roll it into a triangle shape.
- Next step – place the Paratha on medium hot Tawa and roast well, like the previous Paratha.
- Now your Stuffed & Simple Methi Paratha is completely ready, and you can enjoy them.
