Materials
- Almonds – 4 tbsp
- Pistachio – 2 tbsp
- Melon seeds – 4 tbsp
- Poppy seeds – 2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds – 2 tbsp
- Peppercorns – 1 tbsp
- Cardamom Pods – 12 pcs
- Water – 1.5 cup
- Saffron strands
- Gulkand – 2 tbsp
- Sugar – 2 cups
- Water – 1-5 cup
- Milk
Instructions
- To make the perfect Market Style Thandai Syrup, take a bowl and add 4 tbsp of almonds to it.
- Now add 2 tbsp of pistachio, 4 tbsp of melon seeds, 2 tbsp of poppy seeds, and 2 tbsp of fennel seeds.
- Now add 1 tbsp of peppercorn, 12 cardamom pods, and mix everything well.
- Now add 1.5 cups of water and soak everything for 7-8 hours.
- Now, take one pinch of saffron strands in a bowl and soak it for 7-8 hours.
- After 7-8 hours, take a grinding jar and add soaked mixture(with water) into it.
- Now grind on the pulse and make a fine paste.
- Now add 2 tbsp of Gulkand, and grind well one more time.
- Now, place a pan on the gas, add 2 cups of sugar, 1.5 cups of water, and melt the sugar on medium flame.
- After some seconds, add soaked saffron strands, mix well and boil.
- After sugar melts, add prepared mix into syrup and mix well.
- Now boil on low to medium flame until it turns thick & shiny.
- After the syrup turns shiny, turn off the flame and let it cool.
- Now store the Thandai Syrup into a bottle.
- To make the Thandai, take two glasses of chilled milk in a pan.
- Now add 3-4 tbsp of Thandai syrup and mix well.
- Now your Thandai Syrup and Thandai are completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
