Materials
- Flattened rice/Poha – 3/4cup
- Semolina – 1 cup
- Curd – 1/2 tbsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Roasted Peanut – 2 tbsp
- Roasted Split chickpeas – 2 tbsp
- Chopped Tomato – 1
- Curry Leaves
- Garlic – 6
- Red Chili – 4
- Cumin seeds – 1/2tsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Tamarind/ Imli -1 tbsp
- Water 4 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seed -1 tsp
- Curry Leaf/Kari Patta
- Red Chili -2
- Fruit Salt – 1 tsp
- Water -1 tsp
Instructions
- To make the perfect Poha Appam, take a bowl and add 3/4 cup of Poha/flatten rice.
- Now wash the Poha 2 to 3 times and drain the water.
- Now add 1 cup of semolina, 1/2 cup of curd, salt as per taste, little by little 1 cup of water, and mix everything well.
- Now cover the batter and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- After ten minutes, add appam batter into a grinding jar, grind well and make a fine paste(add water if required).
- Now add 1 tsp of Eno fruit salt, 1 tbsp of water, and mix well.
- Now place a Tawa on flame, and heat well on medium flame.
- Now add 1/2 cup of batter into Tawa, let it spread, and roast.
- After the Dosa turns crispy and turns dry on the upside, transfer it to a plate and roast the next Dosa.
- Now your Instant Poha Appam is ready, and you can enjoy them.
Instant Hotel Style Chutney Recipe
- To make the Instant Hotel Style Chutney, take a grinding jar, and add 2 tbsp of roasted peanuts.
- Now add 2 tbsp of roasted chickpea, one chopped tomato, 6-7 curry leaves, 5-6 garlic cloves, and four dry red chillies.
- Now add salt as per taste, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tbsp of tamarind water, and 4 tbsp of water.
- Now grind well and make a fine paste.
- Now, place a tempering pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, some curry leaves, two dry red chillies, and turn off the flame.
- Now pour the prepared tempering on the chutney.
- Now, your Instant Hotel Style Chutney is also completely ready, and you can enjoy it with your Poha Appam.
