Materials
- 1 cup Rice
- 1/4 cup Urad Dal
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 3 Chopped Chillies
- 1 tsp Chopped Ginger
- Salt as per taste
- 1 pinch Baking Soda
- Oil for frying
- 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
- 1 tbsp Peanuts
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 8-10 Dry Red Chillies
- 3 Chopped Tomato
- Salt as per taste
- 2 tbsp Coriander
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Urad Dal
- 2 pinch Asafoetida
- Dry Red Chilli
- Few Curry Leaves
Instructions
- To make Crispy Rice Pakodi, first take 1 cup of Rice, 1/4 cup of Urad dal.
- Now take two bowls and add Rice in one bowl and Urad Dal into another.
- Wash the Rice and Urad dal two to three times.
- Now soak Rice and Urad dal for 2-3 Hours/ Over Night into water.
- After 2 -3 Hours, remove the excess water.
- Now, take a grinding jar and add soaked Rice and 1 tbsp of cold water to it.
- Now grind Rice well and make a thick batter( If needed, add more cold water and grind well).
- Now transfer Rice batter into the bowl.
- Now into the grinding jar, add soaked Urad dal and 1 tbsp of water grind well.
- Now, transfer Urad dal Batter into Rice batter and box both mix well and if needed add more water or add all-purpose flour to adjust the consistency.
- Now cover the batter and let it rest for 1/2 hour.
- Now, to Make street-style Chutney, first place a pan on flame and add 1 tbsp of oil to it, and heat well.
- Now add 1 tbsp of coriander seeds, 1 tbsp of peanuts, 4-5 cloves of garlic, and light fry well.
- Now add 8-10 dry red chilli and fry well.
- After some time, add three roughly chopped tomatoes, salt as per taste, and cook everything well.
- After tomatoes turn soft, turn off the flame and let the mix cool.
- After the mix becomes cool, transfer it into a grinding jar.
- Now, into the grinding jar, add 2 tbsp of coriander and blend everything well.
- Now, place a Tadka pan on flame, add 1 tsp oil to it, and heat.
- After oil becomes hot, add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp fo urad dal, two pinches of asafoetida, one dry red chillli, and come curry leaves turn off the flame.
- Now add Tadka to the Chutney, and your red Chutney is ready.
- Now, after 1/2 hour, check the rice batter.
- Now into the batter, add 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, three chopped green chili, 1 tsp of grated ginger, salt as per taste, one pinch of baking soda.
- Now mix everything well.
- Now, place a pan on flame, add oil for deep fry, and heat well.
- After oil turns to hot, add marvel size batter into pan and fry well on medium-high flame.
- After Pakodi turns to golden, transfer them into a plate and fry the next batch.
- Now your Rice Pakodi and Red chutney are entirely ready, and you can enjoy them.
