Materials
- Curd – 2 cup
- Milk – 1 cup
- Milk Powder – 1/2 cup
- Condensed Milk – 1/2 cup
- Rose Syrup – 1/2 cup
- Cardamom Powder
- Rose Petals
Instructions
- To make delicious Rose Kharvas, start by placing a strainer over a bowl.
- Line the strainer with a clean cloth, add 2 cups of curd into it, wrap the curd tightly, and place a heavy object on top. Let it sit for 30 minutes to drain out excess water.
- After 30 minutes, unwrap the curd and set it aside.
- In a blender, add 1 cup of milk, the drained curd, 1/2 cup of milk powder, 1/2 cup of condensed milk, and 1 tablespoon of rose syrup. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the blended mixture into a greased plate or tray, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle some cardamom powder and crushed rose petals on top for added aroma and flavor.
- Cover the plate with aluminum foil to prevent water from seeping in while steaming.
- Heat water in a kadhai (deep pan) and bring it to a boil.
- Once the water starts boiling, place a stand in the kadhai and set the plate on top of the stand.
- Cover the kadhai with a lid and steam the mixture for 28-30 minutes.
- After steaming, carefully remove the lid, take out the plate, and let it cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, refrigerate the Kharvas for at least 1 hour to set properly.
- After chilling, cut the Rose Kharvas into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Your fragrant and creamy Rose Kharvas is now ready to enjoy!
