Matar Paratha Recipe | How to make Peas Paratha at Home | Matar Ka Paratha Recipe
Materials
For Stuffing
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds (Jeera) – 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida/Hing – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander Seed – 1 tsp
- Garlic (Lahsun) – 7 to 8
- Green chilli – 3
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Red Chili – 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
- Chaat Masala – 1/2 tsp
For Dought
- Wheat flour – 2 cup
- Salt as per Taste
- Gram flour – 3 tbsp
- Clarified Butter/Ghee – 1 tbsp
Instructions
- To make Matar Paratha Stuffing take 1.5 cups of Matar/ Green Peas.
- Now, place a pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, 1 tsp of coriander seeds, 7-8 garlic cloves, three chopped green chilli, 1 inch of chopped ginger, and saute on low flame.
- After some seconds, add 1.5 cups of Matar, salt as per taste, and mix well.
- Now sprinkle little water on Matar, close the lid and let it cook fr 2- 3 minutes.
- After 2-3 minutes, remove the lid and add 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, 1/2 tsp of chaat masala, coriander leaves and mix everything well.
- After 1 minute, turn off the flame and let the mix cool.
- After the mix has cooled down, add it into a grinding jar, grind on the pulse, and make a fine, coarse mix.
- Now, take a bowl and add 2 cups of wheat flour to it.
- Now add 3 tbsp of gram flour, salt as per taste, 1 tbsp of ghee, and mix well.
- Now add 3 tbsp of gram flour, salt as per taste, 1 tbsp of ghee, and mix well.
- Now, little by little, add water, knead well, and make a soft dough.
- Now, apply ghee on top of the dough and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Now prepare small balls with Matar mix.
- After 5 Minutes, check the dough, take a small portion of it, and prepare a round ball.
- Now coat the dough with flour and spread it on a rolling board with a roller pin.
- Now, apply ghee to the dough and place a stuffing ball.
- Now, close the dough from all sides and remove the extra dough.
- Now roll the Paratha to medium thickness and prepare a paratha.
- Now place a Tawa on flame and heat well on medium flame.
- Now, place the prepared Paratha on Tawa and roast well on medium flame.
- After some time, flip & roast the Paratha on another side.
- Now add ghee/oil, spread well, flip it to another side again, and brush the ghee on top.
- After Paratha turns golden, transfer it to a plate and roast the next Paratha.
- Now your perfect Aloo Paratha is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
