Materials
- Wheat Daliya – 3/4 cup
- Ghee - 1.5 tbsp
- Bay Leaf – 2
- Clove – 2
- Black Peppercorns – 4 to 5
- Cumin Seed – 1.5 tsp
- Mustard Seed – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- Choppedn Onion – 1
- Chopped Garlic – 1 tsp
- Chopped Ginger – 1 tsp
- Chopped Green Chili – 2 to 3
- Dried Red Chili – 2
- Chopped Tomato – 2
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Pulao Masala – 1 tsp
- Chopped potatoes – 1
- Chopped Carrot – 1
- Chopped French beans – 3 tbsp
- Green Peas – 1/4 cup
- Soaked Moong Dal - 1/4 cup
- Water – 5 cup
- Chopped Coriander
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Instructions
- To make the perfect Masala Dalia Khichdi, take 3/4 cup of wheat Dalia and clean it.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add 1 tsp of ghee, and heat well.
- Next step – add wheat Dalia into ghee and roast on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
- After 2-3 minutes, turn off the flame and transfer the Dalia to a plate.
- Next step – place a cooker on flame, add 1 tbsp of ghee, and heat well.
- Next step – add two bay leaves, two cloves, four peppercorns, 1.5 tsp of cumin seeds, 1tsp of mustard seeds, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, and roast everything on low flame.
- After some time, add one chopped onion and saute well until pink on medium flame.
- After the onion turns little pink, add 1 tsp of chopped garlic, 1 tsp of grated ginger, 2-3 green chilli and roast well.
- Next step – add two dry red chillies, and mix well.
- Next step – add two chopped tomatoes and one tsp of salt, and cook a little.
- After some time, add 1 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of pulao masala, and mix everything well.
- After the tomatoes start leaving the oil, add one chopped potato, one chopped carrot, 3 tbsp of chopped beans, and 1/4 cup of green peas, mix everything well and roast a little.
- Next step – add 1/4 cup of soaked Moong Dal(Soaked for 20 minutes) and mix well.
- After 2-3 minutes, add fried Dalia and mix everything well.
- Next step – add 5 cups of water, and chopped coriander, mix well and boil.
- After a boil, cover the lid and cook on high flame until a whistle.
- After a whistle, turn the flame to low and cook for two more whistles.
- After two whistles, turn off the flame and let the pressure release completely.
- After the pressure releases completely, remove the lid and check your Masala Dalia Khichdi.
- Now, your perfect Masala Dalia Khichdi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
