Materials
- Ghee – 4 tbsp
- Almonds -1/4 cup
- Cashew nut – 1/4 cup
- Edible Gum – 2 tbsp
- Foxnuts – 1 cup/30 gram
- Watermelon seeds – 3 tbsp
- Desiccated coconut – 1 cup
- Poppy Seeds – 1 tbsp
- Raisin – 2 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
- Sugar – 2 cup/500 gram
- Water – 1 cup
Instructions
- To make the Perfect Mewa Paag, place a kadhai on flame, add 4 tbsp of ghee, and heat well.
- Next step – add 5 tbsp of almonds and roast well until golden.
- After the almonds turn golden, transfer them to a plate.
- Next step – add 1/4 cup of cashew and roast well until golden.
- After the cashew turns golden, transfer it to the plate.
- Next step – add 2 tbsp of edible gum and roast well on low flame.
- After the edible gum turn golden, transfer it to the plate.
- Next step – add 1 cup of foxnut and roast well on medium flame.
- After the Foxnut turns golden, transfer them to a plate.
- Next step – add 3 tbsp of watermelon seeds and roast well.
- After some time, add 1 cup of desiccated coconut, 1 tbsp of poppy seeds, 2 tbsp of raisins, and roast well.
- After 2 minutes, turn off the flame and let everything cool down.
- Next step – take a grinding jar, add roasted foxnut and make a coarse powder.
- Next step – transfer the foxnut powder into a desiccated coconut mix.
- Next step – add cashew into the grinding jar, make a fine powder and transfer it into the desiccated coconut mix.
- Next step – one by one, grind almonds, and edible gum, transfer them into a desiccated coconut mixture and mix everything well.
- Next step – add 1 tsp of cardamom powder and mix well.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add 2 cups of sugar, 1 cup of water, and melt the sugar on medium to high flame.
- After the sugar syrup turn near one string consistency, turn off the flame.
- Next step – turn on the flame, and place Mewa Paag Pan on the flame.
- Next step – little by little, add prepared sugar syrup and mix well on low flame.
- After 2-3 minutes, turn off the flame and transfer the Mewa Paag to a greased plate.
- Next step – spread the Mewa Paag and garnish it with chopped pistachio.
- After the Mewa Paag turns little cool, cut it into pieces and let it set completely.

Love all you recipes! Both me and my husband always like to follow your recipes. I tried the mawa pak as above, It turned our almost fine. It felt a little dry though, may be because when I added the syrup to the dry fruit mix it became very liquidy so I strained out some of the liquid. Not sure if that was the reason because the sweetness was perfect. Should I not have added all the syrup?
