Materials
- Milk – 1.5 cups
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Desiccated coconut – 200 grams
- Milk cream – 3 tbsp
- Desiccated coconut – 2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds – 1 tbsp
- Dry fruits
- Gulkand – 1 tbsp
- Cheeies
- Cardamom powder
- Rose essence
- Edible golden dust
Instructions
- To make the amazing coconut Modak, place a pan, add 1.5 cups of milk and 1/2 cup of sugar, and cook until the sugar melts.
- After the sugar melts, add 200 grams of desiccated coconut and cook for 2 minutes.
- After a minute, add 3 tablespoons of milk cream and cook for 30 seconds.
- After 30 seconds, turn off the flame and transfer the mix into a plate.
- Now take a plate, 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut, 1 tbsp of fennel seeds, dry fruits, 1 tbsp of Gulkand, rose petals, cherries, and a little cardamom powder.
- Now mix everything well and prepare small stuffing balls.
- Now take the coconut mix and divide it into two parts.
- Now in one portion add cardamom powder, and in one add rose essence and mix well.
- Now in the rose essence portion, add one drop of pink food color and mix well.
- Now take the Modak mold, first fill the pink coconut mix, next add the stuffing balls, and lastly fill the white coconut mix.
- Now de-mold it and take out the Modak into a plate.
- Now prepare the Modak with the remaining dough and stuffing.
- Now garnish the Modak with edible golden dust.
