Materials
- Split Chickpeas – 1 cup
- Arhar/Toor – 1 cup
- Red Chili Lal Mirch- 3 pcs
- Fennel Saunf- 1 tbsp
- Cumin Jira- 1 tsp
- Coriander – 1 tsp
- Black Pepper Kali Mirch – 1 tsp
- Chopped Onion/Pyaz – 1 pcs
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Green Chilli – 2 to 3
- Chopped Curry leaves – 1 tbsp
- Chopped Coriander/Hara
- Dhaniya Rice Flour – 2 tbsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Oil for frying
Chutney Recipe
- Roasted Peanut – 2 tbsp
- Roasted Split chickpeas-2 tbsp
- Chopped -1
- Tomato
- Curry Leaves Curry Patte
- Garlic Lahsun – 6
- Red Chili Lal Mirch-4
- Salt as per Taste
- Tamarind/ Imli -1 tbsp
- Oil तेल – 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seed / Sarso /Rai -1 tsp
- Curry Leaf/Kari Patta
- Red Chili – 2
Instructions
- To make the most tasty Chana Dal Masala Vada, take 1 cup of split chickpeas and 1 cup of Toor dal, wash well, and soak for 3–4 hours.
- After 3–4 hours, check the dal and drain the water completely.
- Add the dal into a grinding jar (separate 1/4 cup of dal), 2-3 dry red chilies, 1 tbsp of fennel seeds, 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of coriander seeds, and 1 tsp of peppercorn, and make a coarse paste.
- Now transfer the vada mix into a bowl.
- 5: Now add 1 chopped onion, 1 inch of chopped ginger, 2-3 chopped green chilies, chopped curry leaves, and chopped coriander.
- Now add the separated dal, two tablespoons of rice flour, and salt as per taste, and gently mix well.
- Now prepare a small vada with the mix, like in the following image.
- Now place a pan on a flame, add oil for frying, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add the prepared Vada and fry until golden and crispy.
- After the vada turns golden and crispy, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
Instant Chutney Recipe
- To make the amazing chutney, add two tablespoons of peanuts, two tablespoons of roasted split chickpeas, chopped tomatoes, and curry leaves.
- Now add 5–6 garlic cloves, five dry red chilies, salt as per taste, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds, one tablespoon of tamarind paste, and 4 tablespoons of water and make a fine paste.
- Now place a tempering pan on flame, add one tablespoon of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add one teaspoon of mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dry red chilies.
- After a few seconds, turn off the flame and pour the tempering on the chutney.
- Now your perfect chutney is also ready, and you can enjoy it with your Chana Dal Masala Vada.
