Materials
- Basmati Rice – 1.5 cup
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Dried Red Chili – 10 to 12
- Garlic
- Water
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Cumin Seed – 1 tsp
- Chopped Onion – 2
- Chopped Green Chili – 2 to 3
- Grated Ginger – 1 inch
- Chopped Capsicum
- Chopped Cabbage
- Green Peas
- Chopped Tomato – 2 to 3
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Grated beetroot – 2 to 3 tbsp
- Pav Bhaji Masla – 2 tbsp
- Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
- Water
- Boiled Potato – 2
- Green Chilli
- Butter – 2 tbsp
- Pav Bhaji Masala
- Chopped Coriander
- Lemon Juice
Instructions
- To make the most tasty and perfect Bombay Tawa Pulao, take two cups of basmati rice, wash well, and soak for 15-20 minutes.
- Now place a pan on a flame, add water, and boil.
- After the water starts boiling, add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and soaked rice, and cook for 8 minutes.
- After 8 minutes, turn off the flame and drain the excess water with the help of a strainer.
- Now take a grinding jar, add 10–12 soaked red chillies, 7-8 garlic cloves, and make a fine paste.
- Place a tawa on the flame, add 2 tablespoons of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds. After a few seconds, add 2 chopped onions and roast until golden.
- After the onion turns golden, add 2-3 chopped green chilies and 1 inch of ginger, and roast well.
- After roasting for some time, add chopped capsicum, chopped cabbage, and green peas, and cook well.
- After two minutes, add 2-3 chopped tomatoes, salt per taste, and grated beetroot, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- After 2-3 minutes, add 2 tbsp of pav bhaji masala, 1 tsp of cumin powder, 4 tbsp of prepared red chili paste, and 1/4 cup of water, and cook well.
- Now add 2 boiled chopped potatoes, and two split green chilies, and mix well.
- Now add the prepared rice and gently mix well.
- Now make a hole between the rice, add 2 tablespoons of butter, and melt.
- After the butter melts, add pav bhaji masala, and the prepared paste, and mix with rice.
- Now add chopped coriander and lemon juice and mix well.
- Now your perfect Mumbai-style Tawa Pulao is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
