Materials
- Curd – 1/4 cup
- Pure Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Cardamom Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Milk Powder – 2 tbsp
- Salt – 1 pinch
- All-purpose flour – 1 cup
- Clarified Butter
- Sugar – 1.5 cup
- Water – 1.5 cup
- Cardamom Powder
- Yellow Food Color
Instructions
- To make the perfect paal cake, take a bowl and add 1/4 cup of fresh curd, 1 tbsp of ghee, 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder, 2 tbsp of milk powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Now add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and mix everything well.
- After mixing well, add 1 cup of all-purpose flour, mix everything well, and prepare a soft dough.
- Apply the ghee to the dough, cover it, and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Now place a wide pan on flame, add 1.5 cups of sugar and 1.5 cups of water, mix well, and cook on medium to high flame.
- After the sugar melts, add cardamom powder and yellow food color and mix well.
- After the syrup turns sticky, turn off the flame and keep it aside.
- Check the dough and knead it one more time.
- Roll the dough to medium thickness.
- Now cut the rolled dough into a squire shape.
- Now cut it into small pieces.
- Now place a pan on a flame, add oil for frying, and heat well.
- After the oil is medium-hot, add the prepared Paal cake pieces and fry on medium heat.
- After all the pieces turn golden, transfer the all-fried Paal cake into the hot sugar syrup and boil the syrup.
- After a boil, turn off the flame and cover the pan.
