Sindhi Dal Pakwan Recipe | How to make Dal Pakwan at Home | Dal Ka Pakwan Recipe
Materials
- Bengal gram – 1 cup
- Green gram/Moong Dal – 1 Cup
- Water – 2 cups
- Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Clove – 2
- Pure Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Cumin Seed – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder
- Chopped Ginger
- Dried Red Chili – 2
- Green Chilli
- Chopped Coriander
- All-purpose flour – 2 cups
- Semolina – 1/4 cup
- Salt as per Taste
- Carom Seed – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1/4 cup
- Chopped Onion
- Chopped Tomato
- Green Chilli
- Red Chilli Powder
- Cumin Powder
- Chaat Masala
- Black Salt
- Green Chutney
- Mithi Chutney
- Chopped Coriander
- Lemon Juice
Instructions
- To make the perfect Dal Pakwan, take 1 cup of chana dal and 1/4 cup of Moong Dal, add water, and wash well 2-3 times.
- Next step – soak the washed Dal into clean water for 3-4 hours.
- After 3-4 hours, place a cooker on flame, add soaked Dal (remove the excess water before adding), 2 cups of water, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, salt as per taste, and two cloves.
- Next step – close the lid and cook on medium flame until three whistles.
- After three whistles, remove the lid and check the Dal.
- Next step – place a tempering pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of ghee and heat well.
- Next step – add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, crushed pepper powder, chopped ginger, two dry red chilli powder, chopped green chilli and roast a little.
- Next step – turn off the flame, pour the tempering on the Dal, garnish it with chopped coriander, and mix well.
Pakwan Recipe
- Take a wide plate, add 2 cups of all purpose flour, 1/4 cup of semolina, salt as per taste, 1 tsp of carom seeds, 1/4 cup of oil and mix everything well.
- Next step – gradually add water and prepare a stiff dough.
- After 10 minutes, check the dough and prepare small balls with the dough.
- Next step – a one dough ball, roll it thin and prick it with the help of a fork.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add oil for frying and heat well.
- After medium hot oil, add rolled Pakwan into the oil and fry well until golden & crispy.
- After the Pakwan turns golden & crispy, transfer it to a plate and fry the next Pakwan.
Serving Dal Pakwan
- Serve the Dal in a bowl and garnish it with chopped onion, tomato, and green chillies.
- Next step – sprinkle red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, green chutney, Tamarind chutney, chopped coriander, chopped onion, nylon sev, lemon juice and pomegranate seeds.
- Now your perfect Dal Pakwan is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
