Poha Chivda Recipe | How to make Chivda at Home | Chivda Mixture Namkeen Recipe
Materials
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Black Salt -1/2 tsp
- Fennel Powder – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Chaat Masala – 1 tsp
- Peanut – 1 cup
- Dry coconut
- Almonds
- Cashew
- Melon Seeds
- Raisin
- Curry leaves
Instructions
- To make Perfect Maharatra style Poha Chivda Namkeen first take a bowl, add 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of black salt, 1 tsp of fennel powder, and 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of chaat masala.
- Now add 2 tbsp of powder sugar and mix all Mashala well (you can adjust any ingredients as required).
- Now, take 2 cups of flattened rice and strain it with a filter.
- Now, place a pan on flame and add oil for deep fry and heat well.
- After the hot oil, fry the chivda using a strainer like the following image until it turns crispy.
- After the Chivda turns crispy, remove the excess oil and transfer the Chivda to a plate.
- Now add a little prepared masala mix into roasted chivda and mix well and fry the next batch of Chivda.
- Now fry the 1 cup of peanuts using the strainer on medium flame until it turns little pink.
- After peanuts turn a little pink, transfer them to a plate.
- Now fry dry coconut and fry it on medium flame until golden and after it turns golden, transfer it to a plate.
- Now add 2 tbsp of almonds and fry well on medium flame and after it turns golden, transfer it to a plate.
- Now add 2 tbsp of cashew nuts and fry well on medium flame and after it turns golden, transfer it to a plate.
- Now add 1 tbsp of melon seeds and fry well on medium flame, and after it turns golden, transfer it to a plate.
- Now add 2 tbsp of Raisins and roast well on low flame, and after it turns golden, transfer it to a plate.
- Now add 2 tbsp of curry leaves and after it turns golden, transfer it to a plate.
- Now to 2-3 chopped green chilli and dry well until it turns crispy, and after it turns crispy, transfer it to a plate.
- Now, keep all fried ingredients aside and let them cool.
- Now, take a big bowl and add fried chivda to it and mix well.
- Now add all remaining ingredients and dry fruits into Chivda.
- Now sprinkle extra prepared masala mix as part taste and mix everything well.
