Materials
- Rice – 2 cups
- Urad dal – 1/2 cup
- Chana dal – 2 tbsp
- Fenugree seeds – 1 tsp
- Poha – 1/4 cup
- Ghee
Instructions
- To make the perfect dosa batter, take 2 cups of rice, wash it well 2-3 times, and soak it for 4-5 hours.
- Next step: take 1/2 cup of urad dal, two tablespoons of chana dal, and one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds and soak well for 4-5 hours.
- Next step: after the 4-5 hours, add the soaked dal into a grinding jar, grind well, and prepare a medium- consistency batter.
- Next step: transfer the batter into a big bowl.
- Next step: into the grinding jar, add the soaked rice and 1/4 cup of poha, grind well, and prepare a coarse-consistency batter.
- Next step: transfer the batter into the same bowl and whisk well with dal batter.
- Next step: cover the batter and let it rest for 7-8 hours.
- 8 - After 7-8 hours, check the Dosa batter add Salt as per taste and mix well (you can store it for 4-5 days in the fridge).
- To make the dosa, place a tawa on the flame, sprinkle water, and clean it with the help of tissue paper.
- Next step: add one laddle full of batter and spread well in a circular motion.
- After the dosa turns dry, apply ghee on top and roast until golden.
- After the dosa is golden and crispy, transfer it to a plate and prepare the next dosa.
