SUJI KA HALWA RECIPE

Prep Time: 15 Min

Semolina/Chiroti Rava – 1 cup Ghee – 1 cup Gram flour – 1 tbsp Saffron Strands Cardamom Powder – 1/2 tsp Chopped Almonds -1 tbsp Chopped Cashew nut – 1 tbsp Pistachio Golden Raisins – 1 tbsp

Ingredients

Step 1

To make the perfect Suji Ka Halwa, place a Kadhai on flame, and add 1 cup of ghee (Keep the 4 tbsp of ghee, to use later in the recipe).

After the ghee melts, add 1 cup of Suji and roast well on low flame until the semolina colour changes.

After roasting a minute, add 1 tbsp of gram flour(you can also use wheat flour) and stir continuously.

Next step – place a pan on flame, add 3 cups of water, 1 tsp of ghee, a few saffron strands, 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder, and heat well.

After the semolina colour changes, 1 tbsp of add chopped almonds, 1 tbsp of chopped cashew, chopped pistachio, and 1 tbsp of raisins and roast for 30 seconds.

Step 6

After 30 seconds, turn off the flame.  And, little by little, add hot water and mix well.

Step 7

Next step – turn on the flame and cook the Halwa for 1 minute.  After 1 minute, add 1 cup of Sugar and mix well.

Next step – add 2 tsp of ghee and mix well.

Next step – turn off the flame and garnish the halwa with chopped dry fruits.  Enjoy your HALWA!
