To make the perfect Shakarpara Meethi Mathri, take a wide plate, add 500 grammes of all purpose flour.
Next step: add two teaspoons of sesame seeds and mix well. Next step: add 5 tbsp of melted ghee (as required), two pinches of salt and mix everything well.
Next step: little by little, add warm water and prepare a tight dough. Next step: cover the dough with a wet cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, check the dough and knead again. Next step: take a small portion of dough and roll it to medium thickness, like in the following image.
Next step: prick the prepared Mathri with the help of a form. The second way to prepare the Mathri is to take a large portion of dough and roll it to a medium thickness.
Next step: cut the dough with the help of a cookie cutter or small bowl and prick it with a fork. Next step: place a pan on the flame, add oil on medium, and heat a little.
After the oil is medium hot, add the prepared Mathri and fry well on a low flame. After the Mathri starts floating, flip the Mathri and fry well on both sides until golden and crispy.
After the Mathri turns golden and crispy, transfer the Mathri to a plate and fry the next batch. Next step: place a kadhai on the flame, add 500 grams of sugar, and 250 ml of water.
Next step: add cardamom powder, saffron strands, stir continuously, and prepare one string consistency syrup. Next step: add the prepared Mathri, mix well, and cook for two minutes.
After 2 minutes, turn off the flame, transfer the Mathri into a bowl, and let it cool. Now your perfect Shakarpara Mathri is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
