INGREDIENTS FOR KALA CHANA
For Boiling Black Gram
Black Gram – 1 cup(250 gms)
Water – 1 glass
Salt – 1/2 tsp

For Preparing Masala
Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Dry Mango Powder – 1 tsp
Water – 2 tbsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Bay Leaf – 1 pc
Asafoetida(Hing) – 1/4 tsp
Grated Ginger – 1 tsp
Finely Chopped Green Chilli – 1 pc
Finely chopped Coriander leaves

  • INSTRUCTIONS
  • To make kala Chana soak Black Gram into enough water overnight.
  • Strain Water & separate.
  • Add soaked Black Gram into pressure cooker & add water & salt.
  • Cook for two whistles on medium flame & cook for another 6-7 mins. on low flame.
  • Turn off the flame.
  • Add Oil to Kadhai & let it heat.
  • Add Cumin Seeds ,Bay Leaf,,Asafoetida,Grated Ginger,Finely Chopped Green Chilli.
  • Add prepared masala & mix well on low flame.
  • Cook until releases Oil.
  • Add boiled Black Gram & cook on low flame.
  • Cover & cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
  • Garnish with Finely chopped Coriander leaves.
  • kala Chana is ready to serve.Enjoy!!

INGREDIENTS FOR DANEDAR SOOJI HALWA
Semolina – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Ghee – 4 or 5 tbsp
Chopped Almonds – 1 tbsp
Chopped Cashew – 1 tbsp
Raisins – 1 tbsp
Water – 2 cups
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp

  • INSTRUCTIONS
  • To make Danedar Sooji Halwa take a kadhai and add ghee and let it melt.
  • Add Semolina and roast until golden.
  • Add Chopped Almonds,Chopped Cashew,Raisins and roast until golden.
  • Add Water and cook well.
  • Add Cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Danedar Sooji Halwa is ready to serve.Enjoy!!
