Matar Kachori Roll Recipe | How to make Matar Roll at Home | Easy Snack Recipe
Materials
- Wheat Flour – 1 cup
- Semolina/ Rava/ Sooji – 1/4 cup
- Carom Seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Oil – 3 tbsp
- Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
- Add Water
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Cumin – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 2 pinch
- Coriander Coarse Powder – 1 tsp
- Fennel Seeds – 1 tsp
- Green Peas – 1 cup
- Boiled Potato – 1 pcs
- Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1/4 tsp
- Chaat Masala – 1 tsp
- Ginger Green Chilli Paste – 1 tsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Lemon Juice
- Chopped Coriander Leaves
Instructions
- Take a wide plate and add 1 cup of wheat flour, 1/2 tsp of carom seeds, 1 tsp of salt, 3 tbsp of oil, and 1 tsp of lemon juice. Mix well.
- Gradually add water and knead into a semi-medium soft dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for a while.
- Place a pan on the stove, add 2 tsp of oil, and heat well.
- Add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 2 pinches of asafoetida, 1 tsp of coarse coriander powder, 1 tsp of fennel seeds, and 1 cup of boiled green peas. Roast well.
- Add 1 boiled and crushed potato, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1/4 tsp of garam masala, 1 tsp of chaat masala, and 1 tsp of ginger-green chilli paste. Mix well.
- Cook for a few minutes, then add salt as per taste and mash everything with a masher.
- Add a little lemon juice and chopped coriander. Mix well.
- Cook for 2 more minutes, then turn off the flame, transfer the mixture to a bowl, and let it cool.
- Once cooled, shape the stuffing into small rolls.
- In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt, and water to make a slurry.
- Check the dough, take a large portion, and roll it out thinly.
- Cut the rolled dough into squares, then cut each square into strips.
- Place a stuffing roll on the rolled dough, wrap it, and seal the edges by applying the slurry.
- Repeat the process with the remaining stuffing and dough.
- Heat oil in a pan for frying.
- Once the oil is hot, add the prepared rolls and fry until golden and crispy.
- Once crispy and golden, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
- Your crispy Matar Kachori Rolls are now ready to be enjoyed! 😊
