Dhokla is a very tasty snack from the Rajasthani cuisine. Dhokla recipes are mainly served for breakfast, evening snacks & even for tea time snacks. Dhokla recipe is mainly prepared from besan or gram flour, but this recipe is prepared with Rava/Semolina.It is very tasty & easy to make. Instant Rava Dhokla recipe is version of rava dhokla with eno fruit salt which helps in fermentation process.

Semolina – 1 cup(200gms)
Curd – 1 cup
Ginger & Chilli paste – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil – 2 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Water as per required
Eno fruit salt – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
White sesame seeds – 1/2 tsp
Slit green chillies – 4
Lime juice – 1 tsp
- To make Instant Rava Dhokla take a bowl.
- Add Semolina,Curd,Ginger & Chilli paste,Salt,Oil,Sugar.
- Mix well and Keep idly batter consistency.
- Add water and adjust consistency.
- close lid & rest it for 10 mins.
- Take a kadhai/cooker and add 2 cups water,Place a stand/bowl,Close lid and boil water .
- Take any cake tin/steel bowl,Grease with oil.
- Check batter and adjust consistency by adding water.
- Add Eno fruit salt,add water to activate eno.
- Transfer Batter into the tin.
- Place tin in kadhai and close with lid.
- Steam for 15 mins on high flame.
- Check after 15 mins.
- Check with toothpick/knife,If it comes clean it is perfectly cooked.
- Keep aside and let it cool.
- Take a tadka pan.
- Add oil,Mustard seeds,Asafoetida,White sesame seeds,Curry leaves,Slit green chillies,Lime juice.
- Separate edges and demould.
- Transfer on a plate and tap.
- Turn it and Spread the prepared tadka.
- Cut into pieces.
- Instant Rava Dhokla is ready to serve..Enjoy!!
