Bombay masala toast sandwich is a yummy street snack of toast sandwiches. These sandwiches are stuffed with a delicious spiced mashed potato stuffing, topped with a few veggies and then grilled or toasted.
INGREDIENTS
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Finely Chopped Green Chillies – 3
Curry Leaves
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Boiled & Mashed Potato – 4
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Chaat Masala – 1 tsp
Finely Chopped Coriander
Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
For Chutney
Coriander Leaves with Stem
Pudina/Mint Leaves
Green Chilles – 5
Garlic – 6 cloves
Roasted Peanuts – 1 tbsp
Ginger – 1 inch
Salt as per taste
Balck Salt – 1/2 tsp
Nylon Sev – 2 tbsp
Lemon Juice – 2 tsp
Onion Slices
Tomato Slices
Capsicum Slices
- To make Mumbai Style Masala Toast.
- Take a pan.
- Add oil an dheat.
- Add Mustard Seeds,Cumin Seeds,Finely Chopped Green Chillies,Curry Leaves and saute well.
- Add Ginger Garlic Paste and saute well.
- Add Turmeric Powder,Red Chilli Powder and saute for 1 min.
- Add Boiled & Mashed Potato, Coriander Powder, Cumin powder,Garam Masala,Salt,Chaat Masala and mix well.
- Add Finely Chopped Coriander, Lemon Juice and mix well.
- Turn off flame and transfer into bowl.
- Let masala cool completely.
- Lets prepare Chutney for sandwich.
- Take a jar.
- Add Coriander Leaves with Stem,Pudina/Mint Leaves,Green Chilles,Garlic,Roasted Peanuts,Salt,Balck Salt,Besan Sev,Lemon Juice.
- Add 2 tbsp cold water and blend well.
- Transfer into a bowl.
- Store in air tight container for 6 months in freezer.
Lets prepare Sandwich
- Apply butter on all 4 bread pieces.
- Apply Chutney on all breads.
- Apply Masala on two bread slices.
- Place Onion Slices,Tomato Slices,Capsicum Slices.
- Palce cheese slice.
- Close with other bread slice.
- Apply butter on top.
- Apply butter on sandwich grill.
- Place sandwich on toaster.
- Roast on both sides for 1 min each.
- Apply butter while its hot.
- Apply Green Chutney.
- Divide into 4 pieces.
- Grate cheese (optional).
- Add some sev on top.
- Mumbai Style Masala Toast is ready to serve..Enjoy!!
