Gujarati Lapsi Recipe | How to make Lapsi Dalia at Home | Lapsi Daliya Recipe
Materials
- Broken Wheat/Dalia – 1 Cup
- Jagerry/Gud – 1 Cup
- Mixed Dry Fruits -1/2 Cup
- Ghee – 4 tbsp
- Water – 2 Cups
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pressure cooker over medium flame.
- Add chopped cashews and almonds, roast until golden, then transfer to a plate.
- In the same cooker, add chopped coconut and roast slightly. Transfer it to the plate.
- Now, add foxnuts and roast until they turn crispy. Remove and keep aside.
- Add 2 tablespoons of ghee to the cooker and let it heat well.
- Add 1 cup of broken wheat (daliya) and roast on a low flame until aromatic.
- Pour in 2 cups of water, mix well, and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.
- In a separate pan, add 1 cup of crushed jaggery and 1 cup of water. Heat until the jaggery melts and comes to a boil.
- Once done, pour the jaggery syrup into the cooked daliya and stir well.
- Add saffron-infused water, roasted dry fruits, cardamom powder, and grated nutmeg. Mix well and cook until the mixture thickens.
- Turn off the flame once the Lapsi reaches the desired consistency.
- Your Gujarati Sweet Lapsi is now ready to be served! Enjoy its rich, nutty, and aromatic flavors. 😊
