INGREDIENTS
Gram flour – 1/2 cup
Semolina – 1/2 cup
Salt – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Water 1 & 1/2 cup
Oil – 1 tbsp
Caraway – 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida – 2 pinch
Chopped chilli – 2
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Finely chopped onion – 1
Red chilli flakes – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Finely chopped coriander
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Oil for deep fry

  • To make chatpati crispy balls taka a bowl.
  • Add Gram flour,Semolina,Salt,Turmeric and mix well.
  • Add water little by little and prepare batter.
  • Now take a kadhai add oil, heat oil.
  • Add Caraway,Asafoetida,Chopped chilli,Ginger garlic paste and Saute well.
  • Pour prepared batter,Stir continously and cook on medium flame.
  • Cook until it leaves pan.
  • Add oil 1/2 tsp when it starts becoming thick.
  • Turn off flame when it starts holding shape and Let it cool for 5 mins.
  • After 5 mins transfer dough into a bowl.
  • Add Finely chopped onion,Red chilli flakes,Garam masala,Finely chopped coriander,Lemon juice.
  • Grease hands and mix well.
  • Grease hands, take dough and make small balls.
  • Deep fry/shallow fry/bake at 180 pre heated oven for 20-25 mins.
  • In kadhai add oil and heat on medium-high flame .
  • Add prepared balls into oil and fry until golden crisp.
  • Flip and fry on all sides.
  • After golden Take out of oil and transfer onto a tissue paper.
  • Chatpati crispy balls are ready to serve.
