Crispy Corn is a snack made by frying Corn Kernels & then is flavored with different spice powder.There are few different ways Crispy corn is made in restaurants & fast food centre. This is very simple method to make.Its very instant recipe & easy to make.Different recipes can be done with corn like Corn Kabab, Corn Starters.
Chatpata Crispy Corn – Restaurant Style Crispy Corn Recipe
Sweet Corn – 2 cups
Water – 4 cups
Corn flour/starch – 3 tbsp
Rice flour – 1 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Pepper Powder – 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Oil for deep fry
Finely Chopped Capsicum – 1 tbsp
Finely Chopped Onion – 2 tbsp
Finely Chopped Spring Onion – 1 tbsp
Finely Chopped Coriander
Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Chaat Masala – 1 tsp
Roasted Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
Black Salt – 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
- Take a pan,add water and boil.
- Add sweey corn in boiling water.
- Boil for 5-6 mins.
- Cook until fluffy for 5-6 mins and turn off flame.
- Drain the corn kernels.
- Keep aside and let it cool completely.
- Transfer into a bowl add Corn flour/starch,Rice flour(Alternatively use arrowroot or maida/all purpose flour) and Coat well.
- Add Salt,Pepper Powder,Red chilli powder and mix well.
- Sprinkle water if required do not keep the mix powdery.
- Take a kdadhai add oil and heat on low medium flame.
- Add prepared corn on low medium flame.
- Fry until golden crisp.
- Fry on 1-2 min on low flame,then on medium high flame.
- Take out into a plate after golden crisp.
- Take a small bowl.
- Add Red Chilli Powder,Chaat Masala,Roasted Cumin Powder,Black Salt,Salt and mix well.
- Transfer corn into a bowl,add the prepared seasoning into corn.
- Add Finely Chopped Capsicum,Finely Chopped Onion,Finely Chopped Spring Onion,Finely Chopped Coriander and Mix well.
- Add Lime Juice and mix well.
- Crispy Corn is ready to serve.Enjoy!!
