Wheat flour Modak can be made in various ways. You can make flavourful wheat flour Modak on any festive or special occasion.  It is very tasty and mouth watering made with dessicated coconut , jaggery and dry fruits. You can offer it as a bhog to Lord Ganesha

गेंहुँ के आटे के बहुत ही स्वादिष्ट मोदक जो आज से पहले ना कभी देखे होंगे ना खाये होंगे | Modak Recipe

Ghee – 1/2 cup
Wheat flour – 1 cup
Finely chopped pista – 1 tsp
Finely chopped almond – 1 tbsp
Finely chopped cashewnut – 1 tbsp
Desiccated coconut – 1 tsp
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
Jaggery – 3/4 cup
Oil/ghee for greasing


  • To make Wheat Flour Modak take a kadhai & add ghee & let it heat on low to medium flame.
  • Add wheat flour & mix well.
  • Roast until golden & aromatic.
  • Stir it continuously on low to medium flame to avoid burning.
  • When mixture becomes golden & aromatic ,add finely chopped pista,finely chopped almond,finely chopped cashewnut,desiccated coconut.
  • Mix well until it binds & turn off the flame.
  • Do not let it cool completely.
  • Add Cardamom powder & jaggery.
  • Add jaggery little by little & mix well.
  • Take modak mould.
  • Open mould & grease with ghee.
  • Take small portion of mix & fill in modak mould.
  • Open the mould gently & demould it.
  • Wheat Flour modak is ready to serve.Enjoy!
